Have you ever watched the Disney/Pixar movie UP? It's an adorable tale of a grandpa who finally decides to goes out on his spirit of adventure to South America by flying with a thousand balloons tied to his house. Sounds silly, huh? I know.. But the story is heart-wrenchingly touching. The grandpa, Carl, promised his childhood sweetheart wife to go on a wild journey to South America together. They tried saving up money to go, but as life went on, their opportunities to travel together waned. Naturally overtime, the wife gets sick, passes away, and they do not get to fulfill their lifelong dream together. After Carl's wife passes away, Carl doesn't see the point of life, and he just gets into the mundane routine of daily, dry living. Upon serendipity, Carl meets a cute little scout boy who ends up going on the crazy ride to South America with the balloons floating them away.
I love the movie UP so much, and it really inspires me to live out my colorful dreams with my loved ones now, because no matter what, life will go on.
